Capt. Richard Stanczyk Sr. got out with friends Ron Modra and MB Roberts the other night. More good fishing was had and they landed several bonefish and got a couple permit as well! The evening falling tide late afternoon in Islamorada gave them some good conditions. Stake up fishing is where it’s at especially as the water temperatures cool. If you just want to catch one this is the way to go… don’t have to worry about the pressure of casting to a fish you may only get one or two shots at. Leave that to the seasoned anglers 🙂 October bonefish fishing in Islamorada has been good. We are getting some cold weather this week which could make the stake up fishing even better, especially before the front. Right afterwards sometimes the water is a little too cold, but it shouldn’t be dropping too much during these fronts. And that usually means the bonefish are scourging around feeding!
